Removing Block Skip

Pick your browser on the left and follow the numbered steps. It takes about ten seconds, and you can reinstall from the home page at any time.

Firefox

  1. Open the Firefox menu

    Click the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner of the window.

  2. Go to Add-ons and themes

    Choose Add-ons and themes from the menu, or press Ctrl + Shift + A.

  3. Open the Extensions list

    Select Extensions in the left sidebar.

  4. Find Block Skip

    Click the three-dot menu on the Block Skip row.

  5. Remove it

    Choose Remove and confirm. You can also right-click the Block Skip toolbar icon and choose Remove Extension to skip straight here.

  2. Go to Add-ons and themes

    Choose Add-ons and themes from the menu, or press Cmd + Shift + A.

  3. Open the Extensions list

    Select Extensions in the left sidebar.

  4. Find Block Skip

    Click the three-dot menu on the Block Skip row.

  5. Remove it

    Choose Remove and confirm. You can also right-click (or Control-click) the Block Skip toolbar icon and choose Remove Extension to skip straight here.

Search engine afterwards. Removing the add-on removes Google by Block Skip from your search engine list. If Firefox does not switch back on its own, open Settings, choose Search, and pick the engine you want under Default Search Engine.

Chrome

  1. Open the Extensions page

    Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in the toolbar and choose Manage extensions, or type chrome://extensions in the address bar.

  2. Find Block Skip

    Locate the Block Skip card in the list.

  3. Remove it

    Click Remove, then confirm.

Edge

  1. Open the Extensions page

    Click the Extensions icon in the toolbar and choose Manage extensions, or type edge://extensions in the address bar.

  2. Find Block Skip

    Locate the Block Skip card in the list.

  3. Remove it

    Click Remove, then confirm.

Before you go

Two things worth trying first

Most reasons for removing an ad blocker come down to one site. Both of these take less time than uninstalling.

Allow just that one site

Open the Block Skip popup while you are on the site and choose Add next to This site. Blocking stays on everywhere else, and you can undo it from the same place.
